Merci Desvernes Claude

Kindly clarify the difference between object database and Azure Table Storage.
In Object Database What we design in C# is what we store in Object Database.
While designing, we can inherit the class and most important we can add another class property type as an array in a class. Is this possible in the Azure Table Storage now. Or is this feature in the wish list of Azure Table Storage.
Convincing Clarification is requested from any one and thanks in… Continue

Continue

Absence of object browser in SQL Azure throws many challenges. For example, how would you update a stored procedure in your SQL Azure database? The challenge is to get the source code from the cloud database.
select * from sys.objects
will only display the objects in your database and not the source code for any stored procedure or view etc.
Here is my hack to get the source code for any stored procedure.
1. SELECT * from… Continue

Join us for the day on Friday October 16, 2009 as we discuss the 'Cloud'. The day is focused on developers and includes talks on all the major cloud platforms: Google, Amazon, Sales Force & Microsoft
Each talk will cover the basics for that platform. We will then delve into code, seeing how a solution is constructed. We cap off the day with a panel discussion. When we are done, you should have enough information to start your own experimentation. In 2010, you will be deploying at least… Continue

In this day and age, people are trying their best to be different among others. Some have their own kinds interest which must be unlike other people. In terms of career many individuals had been struggling to find their own place and are continuously shifting companies. But then yearly and even monthly, employees seem to grow in number and as a result employment opportunities become less most especially for older employees.
As a result, with this kind of dilemma, our team is willing… Continue

Peace, calm, and serenity. These are some of the emotions that I enjoy feeling especially when I am just alone with a beautiful environment around me. I also feel these aforementioned emotions every time I will look at the color azure. The clouds are usually a good inspiration for me especially when I am writing my essays
. In the same manner, azure, that pertains to software and services computing also give me the same sense of… Continue

So lets say you want to test early development builds in a continuously integrated system.
You want to take all your developers code and execute it on a seperate box and be able to test client access to your system remotely.
Yeah you could put it up in staging on Azure but maybe you dont want to do that yet. Maybe you just want some testers bangin away at it from some remote client.
Well right now thats kinda hard since the development fabric carries a restriction to… Continue

Saas vs. S+S
Saas is an architectural paradigm where a solution architecture can benefit from the economies of scale of the data and behavior of that architecture being built and hosted in the cloud by a third party in a multitenant fashion.
Software + Services is an architectural paradigm where a solution architecture can achieve some of the same economies of scale as Saas while simultaneously benefiting from the synergies and efficiencies of the data and behavior of… Continue

I recently heard a presentation from David Chappell talking about how SOA is failing in many organizations.
Below is not a summary of what he talked about but my own new thoughts on a subject I am still learning much about while listening to his presentation.....
I have to give it to David Chappell. He has a way of bringing together concepts in a very simple and engaging way.
At a recent architecture conference

In this article, I will point out some of the design challenges that the cloud presents to us. I will also propose an architectural style, called Event Driven Architecture or EDA, that can be used to overcome many of these challenges. Furthermore I'll give you an overview of the tools offered by the Azure cloud platform that can be used to implement such a system.
So if you are interested… Continue

Cloud Computing offers a scaleable resource for large-scale, distributed and perhaps collaborative computing applications. In my work, I see needs for this kind of capability every day - needs often unfulfilled. But there are challenges ahead in learning to utilize clouds in a meaningful, secure, effective and efficient manner.
In other words, is cloud computing susceptible to "The Tragedy of the Commons"? Is it a large community closet, full of everyone elses junk? Or is it a… Continue

I have started Azure New Mexico - a User Group for Azure Cloud Application Development. I have always thought that clouds were one of the things we do best in the SouthWest.
If you are a Microsoft Azure Cloud developer - or would like to be - join the group!

Hi, all. I'm (finally) posting the user group material from last week. Sorry for the delay. I'm including the presentation (.pptx) here -- all of the demos can be found in the .Net Services SDK. I had originally planned to post them as well, but they're on a VM that's powered down at the moment, and if I wait any longer, I might not ever post this!…
