SQL Azure new CTP release – Firewall Settings and Views

I liked the SQL Azure new CTP released yesterday. It has introduced a new firewall security feature – a good move, but kind of gotcha. Remember to add your host IP address so that login will work. Once you login – these rules can be checked using

select * from sys.firewall_rules

here some other useful commands [use master database]

select * from INFORMATION_SCHEMA.Tables

select * from sys.database_usage [not sure how to interpret the result ]

select * from sys.bandwidth_usage

Check firewall - you will have to add your host IP [Ip address of the machine from which you want to access your SQl Azure database] - you will find firewall tab on your SQL Azure login page

also, check out for detail ans

let me know if it works..

all the best!

Yes all is Ok.

I am facing issues with the firewall. I gave the IP address range and it still doesn't allow me to connect (I'm in my office network which connects to the internet via a Proxy server.)
However, when I connect using an open network, I can succesfully connect.
What additional settings I need to configure?
